Tekken 8 Picks Up Age Rating In South Korea

Bandai Namco Games’ Tekken 8 has been rated in South Korea, suggesting a release may not be too far off given that this sort of thing happens when development is nearing completion. In any case, the game picked up at 15 rating in South Korea, which is typical of fighting games in the region.

Tekken 8 is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and focuses another clash between father and son; in this case, Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. A lot has changed since the events of Tekken 7, with Heihachi Mishima having been killed and Jin now mastering his devil powers.

In terms of gameplay, Tekken 8 introduces the Heat system, which players can activate once per round. This is essentially a powered-up version of your character, allowing them to perform new and more damaging attacks and extend juggle combos. Rage Arts also make a comeback, although Rage Drives have essentially been replaced by Heat Smash.

Tekken 8 has yet to attract a release date.
